CDC Map Shows if Locals Need to Wear Masks Again

With the rise in the Delta variant of the Coronavirus , the CDC as changed its guidance for mask wearing once again. The CDC is recommending that ALL people wear masks in indoor public settings—even if they are vaccinated. However, this recommendation is only for those areas of the country that are experiencing “high” or “substantial” transmission of the virus. As of the writing of this post, Lake County is experiencing only “moderate” transmission. This means, for now, mask wearing indoors is not being recommended. You can check the status of Lake County’s transmission rate any time by clicking here. You can also check the transmission rates of any county in any state in case you are planning a late summer trip and want to stay safe.
