CatWatchful danger
Hi everyone, I want to share a recent finding that concerns your privacy. A so-called child-monitoring app named Catwatchful is actually spyware that has been quietly collecting photos, messages, microphone audio, and location data from thousands of Android phones. Security researcher Eric Daigle discovered that Catwatchful left its entire database exposed on the internet without encryption, revealing not only the stolen information but also the email addresses and plain-text passwords of the people using the app to spy. While it is a relief to see the stalkers identified, the bigger lesson is clear: tools that promise to stay hidden often put both targets and operators at risk. Please use only well-reviewed parental-control apps, keep your devices updated, and stay alert for any software that claims it cannot be detected.
